The Niagara Home Builders Association Awards of Excellence recognize achievements in new home construction, renovation, sales and marketing and community development.
The awards, presented every 18 months, now also recognize a Builder of the Year.
Christine Dell, co-chair of the award committee, said the18 month timeframe between awards hasbeen set deliberately to allow for custom projects and to recognizeprojects finishing at different times within the calendaryear.“Homes nominated have to be finished within the 18 months prior to the award,” she said.
Dell said while some of the 32 categories may be similarto other association awards, others have been customized toNiagara, representing the region’s real home buyers.
According to Dell, Mountainview Homes, which won the Builderof the Year Award, really stood out to the judging panel forits contributions to the industry and to the local community.
