We strongly support the Ontario Skilled Trade Alliance and the Stop the Trades Tax campaign.
The Public Relation committee works hard to stay current with the latest industry news to be able to inform and educate the members of the NCA.
On behalf of the NCA, Kevin Brown, PR Chair and President Elect recently attended a business stakeholder session on Monday, January 27, 2014. The event, hosted by the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce was to discuss the Ontario College of Trades that has been of significant interest to industry stakeholders.
Special guests in attendance included, Mr. Tim Hudak, Leader of the Official Opposition and the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, Mr. Garfield Dunlop, Critic for Training and Apprenticeship and Mr. Bart Maves, Regional Councillor of Niagara Falls; as well as many industry stakeholders throughout Niagara.
Hudak, if elected plans to abolish the trade’s tax.
