The Niagara Home Builders’ Association (NHBA) says it has received a $1,000 donation to its scholarship fund from SomeBuddy’s Casual Eatery & Bar in Niagara Falls.
The NHBA says its scholarship program was established in recognition of the importance of education and to encourage careers in the construction industry. Scholarships are awarded to sons, daughters or legal wards of owners, partners and employees of NHBA members.
This joint venture began with Building Safety Month in May 2016. SomeBuddy’s Casual Eatery & Bar, their patrons and golf tournament attendees, chose to collect donations in support of the NHBA scholarship fund to assist a student with their post-secondary education.
The residential construction industry is essential to the economic foundations, job creation and long-term prosperity of the Niagara Region.
