Infrastructure Ontario and ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment\u00a0and Development have released a request for proposals to the three teams\u00a0shortlisted to design, build and finance new children\u2019s treatment centres in\u00a0Brampton, Mississauga and Oakville, IO announced in a news release.<\/p>\n
A request for qualifications issued in January 2013 shortlisted three\u00a0companies with the design, construction and financial capacity to undertake\u00a0a project of this size and complexity. The following three companies \u2014 each\u00a0including a designer, builder and financial advisor \u2014 have been invited to\u00a0bid:<\/p>\n
Peel-Halton Partnership<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Bondfield Construction Company Limited<\/p>\n \u2022 Stantec Architecture<\/p>\n \u2022 Rocklynn Capital Inc.<\/p>\n Kids Health Infrastructure Partnership<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Carillion Canada Inc<\/p>\n \u2022 Bird Design-Build Inc<\/p>\n \u2022 Zeidler Partnership Architects<\/p>\n \u2022 Mitchell Architects<\/p>\n \u2022 Investec Capital Markets<\/p>\n \u00a0PCL Partnerships<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 PCL Constructors Canada Inc<\/p>\n \u2022 NORR Limited<\/p>\n \u2022 Montgomery Sisam Architects<\/p>\n \u2022 TD Securities<\/p>\n The ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development is the largest of\u00a0Ontario\u2019s 21 children\u2019s treatment centres, treating more than 13,500\u00a0children and youth with disabilities each year in Peel, Halton and Dufferin.\u00a0The three new facilities will allow ErinoakKids to consolidate programs and\u00a0services from 10 existing sites and will be purpose-built for children with\u00a0disabilities and special needs. The largest facility will be approximately\u00a0120,000 sq. ft. and will be located in Brampton, with the other two\u00a0sites in Mississauga and Oakville, approximately 90,000 and 70,000 sq. ft. respectively.<\/p>\n The new buildings are slated to open in early 2017 and will offer a wide\u00a0range of services, including:<\/p>\n \u2022 autism services such as intensive behavioural intervention and\u00a0applied behavioural analysis<\/p>\n \u2022 infant hearing and blind low vision services<\/p>\n \u2022 physiotherapy and occupational therapy services<\/p>\n \u2022 speech and language services<\/p>\n \u2022 assistive devices resources services<\/p>\n \u2022 medical, nursing and specialty medical services<\/p>\n \u2022 respite services (at Brampton location only)<\/p>\n \u2022 family support services<\/p>\n The project will support ErinoakKids in its mission to help children and\u00a0youth with physical, developmental and communication disabilities achieve\u00a0optimal levels of independence, learning, health and well-being.<\/p>\n Infrastructure Ontario and the Ministry of Children and Youth Services are\u00a0working with ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development to build the\u00a0new children\u2019s treatment centres, which will remain publicly owned and\u00a0controlled.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Infrastructure Ontario and ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment\u00a0and Development have released a request for proposals to the three teams\u00a0shortlisted to design, build and finance new children\u2019s treatment centres in\u00a0Brampton, Mississauga and Oakville, IO announced in a news release.
