{"id":433,"date":"2014-05-27T00:24:33","date_gmt":"2014-05-27T00:24:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/niagaraconstructionnews.com\/?p=433"},"modified":"2016-10-18T19:34:36","modified_gmt":"2016-10-18T19:34:36","slug":"nca-prepares-to-launch-bestbidz-electronic-plans-room","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/niagaraconstructionnews.com\/?p=433","title":{"rendered":"NCA prepares to launch Bestbidz electronic plans room"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.niagaraconstruction.org\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>The Niagara Construction Association<\/strong> <\/span><\/a><\/span>has announced that it has begun the conversion, along with 11 other local construction associations, to a new Electronic Plans Room (<span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">EPR<\/span>) software platform under the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">BestBidz<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span> consortium.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The new <span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">BestBidz<\/span> portal\u00a0will have a completely new user interface and will include many advanced features and tools not found in our current <span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">EPR<\/span> environment,&#8221; the <span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">NCA<\/span> announcement says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This portal will offer the most advanced procurement environment in the industry with benefits for owners, architects, <span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">GCs<\/span>, sub-trades and suppliers. <span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">BestBidz<\/span> is &#8216;leap frogging&#8217; the existing market by introducing advanced features such as <span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">ePrequalification<\/span>, <span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">eTendering<\/span>, <span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">eBidding<\/span>, <span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">eBonding<\/span>, and public and private plans rooms, all included in a &#8216;one-stop-shop; environment. The procurement module for public and private owners will give them the ability to conduct construction and general goods and services procurement using the same application, while targeting appropriate contractor and supplier groups.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The <span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">NCA<\/span> will move to this new platform on June 2, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The <span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">BestBidz<\/span> portal will provide an integrated environment for the entire Ontario construction industry.
