Scholarships are awarded to sons, daughters or legal wards of owners, partners and employees of NHBA members.<\/p>\n<p>Recipients include:<\/p>\n<p><strong>David Vanderlee<\/strong>, sponsored by <strong>Lucchetta Homes<\/strong> is entering his third year in the Construction Engineering Technology program at Niagara College. Involved at the College, he has volunteered at the annual open house to speak with future construction workers, and is also a teaching assistant and peer tutor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Curtis Hoekstra<\/strong>, sponsored by <strong>Lucchetta Homes<\/strong> is entering his third year in the Architectural Technology program at Mohawk College and currently working in the program&#8217;s co-op segment. He is a student leader for Solid Rock campus ministry at Mohawk.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Domenic Alfier<\/strong>, sponsored by <strong>Windrush Hill Construction<\/strong>, graduated Denis Morris Catholic Secondary School with Principal\u2019s Honour Roll status; participated in the annual Pilgrimage and Starvathon Fundraisers and on the \u201cMathletes Team\u201d. An avid cyclist, he participated in the two-day Ride to Conquer Cancer from Toronto to Niagara Falls for Princess Margaret Hospital. He will be attending Brock University in the business administration co-op program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Megan Therrien<\/strong>, sponsored by <strong>Metroland Media<\/strong>, graduated Blessed Trinity Catholic Secondary School with Ontario Scholar status; took a leadership role as student trip organizer, link crew leader, co-president of the ECO Club and participated in the applied suicide intervention skills training. He will be studying Criminology and Criminal Justice at Carlton University.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Noah Hendrik<\/strong>, sponsored by <strong>Mountainview Homes<\/strong>, graduated Denis Morris Catholic Secondary School with Principal\u2019s Honour Roll status; participated in the annual Pilgrimage and Starvathon Fundraisers and on the volleyball and tennis teams.
