Former Toronto mayor David Miller, CEO and president of the World Wildlife Fund, will be the speaker at the Niagara Sustainability Institute (NSI) 2015/16 season kick-off event about Livable and Sustainable Cities on September 15.
After a breakfast and Miller’s keynote presentation, there will be a membership workshop open to the public.
“The changing climate and demographics of the Niagara region present some unique challenges to each of our 12 municipalities,” the NSI announcement says. “This event presents an opportunity for business and municipalities alike to come together and participate in an open discourse around a livable and sustainable Niagara.”
Early bird registrations at $35.00 (regular fee is $40.00) close on August 31. The event will start at 7:30 a.m. at the White Oaks Resort and Spa at Niagara-on-the-Lake.
