The Niagara Construction Association says supports it the Niagara Region’s approval of hiring a full-time expediter.
The NCA anticipates this new hiring will streamline the approval processes, ultimately attracting development to our region.
“Whatever expedites and reduces approval time for developers and investors, is positive for our industry and our members, said NCA president Kevin Brown.
CKTB Radio reported that council will spend $120,000 to hire the planning department expediter “to help businesses cut through red tape.”

Niagara Falls councillor Bart Maves, who supports the move, told the radio station that the expediter will help businesses get approvals from not just the region, but municipalities and provincial departments.
