Mark Basciano, Mountainview Building Group owner, has donated $3 million to the Niagara Health Foundation’s It’s Our Future campaign supporting construction of the South Niagara hospital site.

In recognition of the gift, the main entrance courtyard of the new facility will be named the Mountainview Building Group Main Entrance Courtyard. The hospital design will promote connections with nature and well-being amongst patients, visitors, and staff with outdoor healing environments and dedicated therapeutic courtyards.

“It is in my personal culture as well as our company’s  to give back to our community,” Basciano said in a news release.

“I and all of us at Mountainview are appreciative of the fact that we are able to contribute to the betterment of health care in Niagara in a meaningful way. We are pleased to partner with Niagara Health and are excited and hopeful to see this new state-of-the-art hospital come to fruition and give access to tremendous health care for everyone in the Niagara Region.”

In addition to their work with Niagara Health Foundation, Basciano and the Mountainview Building Group supports many charitable organizations.

“Mark Basciano and the Mountainview Building Group embody what it means to be a true community leader. Their support for local healthcare and their dedication to supporting Niagara is truly remarkable,” said Andrea Scott, president & CEO, Niagara Health Foundation.
