Role overview
The successful candidate will operate excavators and heavy equipment for various excavation projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating heavy machinery for trenching and excavation.
- Performing routine equipment maintenance.
- Adhering to strict safe work practices.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure project efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2–3 years of operating experience is required.
- Skills: Proficiency in operating excavators and knowledge of excavation techniques.
- Certifications: Valid heavy equipment operator certification/license.
- Safety training: Must have WHMIS, AODA, and Health & Safety Awareness for Electrical Workers training.
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license and personal transportation to the job site.
- Physicality: Ability to perform tasks in various weather conditions.
Compensation and benefits
- Pay Rate: $32.50 per hour (with room for advancement).
