The Ira McDonald Construction team is stepping up in support of the 2026 Hike for Hospice on June 20, to raise funds for hospice and palliative care services in the community.
The company is participating in the annual fundraiser in support of Kemp Care Network and Keaton’s House, organizations that provide compassionate care, comfort and support to individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses in Dundas and Hamilton.
Through its involvement, the Ira McDonald Construction team hopes to help ensure local families continue to have access to quality hospice and palliative care services when they need them most.
“We’re walking to help raise funds for compassionate hospice and palliative care services that provide comfort, support and dignity to local families,” the company said in a social media post announcing its participation. “Every donation, no matter the size, helps make a difference.”
Hike for Hospice events are held in communities across Ontario and Canada each year, bringing together residents, businesses and organizations to raise awareness and financial support for hospice care programs. Funds raised help support a range of services, including residential hospice care, grief and bereavement programs, caregiver support and community outreach initiatives.
Ira McDonald Construction is encouraging community members to support its fundraising efforts by making a donation to the team’s campaign.
The company noted that every contribution helps strengthen the network of care available to local residents and families navigating some of life’s most difficult moments.
