Niagara Peninsula Homes Inc. is receiving what the federal government describes in a news release as “an investment for its project to help 24 youth in the Niagara region gain the skills and experience necessary to make a successful transition to the job market or return to school.”

Diane Finley, the federal minister of Public Works and Government Services, announced the “investment of more than$512,000” for project participants to learn or improve useful job skills, such as time management and teamwork, through group workshops. They will also gain work experience with local employers in areas such as construction and the skilled trades.

Niagara Peninsula Homes is a non-profit organization, with over 32 years experience in housing development and property management, the organization’s website says.
