Tikvah Mindorff new NSI executive director

Tikvah Mindorff has become the Niagara Sustainability Initiative (NSI)s new executive director, replacing Katrina Kroeze.

“Tikvah is a familiar face to NSI and a life-long resident of the Region,” NSI said in a news release. “More recently she has completed an internship placement with the organization. As an integral part of NSI’s team since January 2015, Tikvah shares NSI’s vision and passion for sustainability across the Niagara Region.:

“I look forward to leaping into the role and continuing to make NSI the go-to source for organizational sustainability in Niagara,” Mindorff said.

As a Political Science graduate of Brock University, Tikvah has spent the past five years researching and writing about the interrelations between economic development, multi-level governance and environmental sustainability. Tikvah comes to NSI with several years of experience managing volunteers, staff and creating collaborative programs with various regional ENGOs and Brock University.

“It is with great pleasure that I’m able to leave the role of Executive Director to Tikvah. She’s a fantastic addition to NSI’s team of staff and will certainly lead NSI in the right direction moving forward”  Kroze said.

In her introductory eletter as NSI’s executive director, Mindorff said “hello to a great new network of individuals across Ontario through Sustainability CoLab.”

“I am excited for these organizations to be joining us in our efforts towards a low-carbon economy, as they will help create new ideas and put them into action!,” she wrote.”In the next year NSI hopes to bring about tangible changes in Niagara’s sustainability landscape through our growing community. We look forward to seeing you all at our upcoming events.”
