The Niagara Construction Association (NCA) says it’s annual general meeting will take place on Feb. 27 at 4 p.m.
The meeting will receive and consider the annual report and financial statements for the financial year ending Dec. 31, 2016;
- To appoint auditors and authorize the directors to fix their remuneration;
- to elect directors;
- to confirm and ratify all acts, by-laws and proceedings of the Board of Directors for the past financial years; and
- to transact such further business as may be properly brought before the meeting or any adjournment thereof.
Members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

During the AGM, the board will be seeking members’ approval to amend the bylaws.
Specifically, the proposed bylaw amendments that will be considered and voted upon will be as follows:
Regular Board of Directors Meeting
Article 6.06 – Will be deleted in its entirety and substituted with “Quorum – a quorum for the transaction of business at meetings of the Board shall consist of at least a majority of the directors”.
Annual General Meeting
Article 10.04 – Will be deleted in its entirety and substituted with “Quorum – 8 members present in person constitute a quorum at a meeting of members, and no business shall be transacted at any meeting unless the requisite quorum is present at the commencement of such business.”
