Niagara Construction Association recognizes excellence as it supports charities

More than 175 attendees helped collect $6,000 in cash donations and 1,300 lbs. of non-perishable food at the Niagara Construction Association‘s annual Christmas event, which also included the association’s Awards of Construction Excellence.

Hy-Grade Precast Concrete Ltd. received recognition through the Manufacturer, Suppliers and Services Award of Recognition and 2M Architects Inc. received the association’s Design Award.

NCA director Bill Philp of HUB International  was presented with the Outstanding Contribution to the NCA – Ed Christensen Award. The Project of the Year Award was presented for the DSBN Walker Living campus at Woodend Project to MacDonald Zuberec Ensslen Architects Inc., Walker Environmental Group Inc., and Mountainview Construction.

Former Toronto Maple Leafs player Wendel Clark acted as keynote speaker for the luncheon and took part in a photo shoot and memorabilia signing after his presentation.
